Artificial insemination is a simple assisted reproduction procedure, in which sperm are artificially placed inside the woman’s uterus, in order to achieve a pregnancy. It is aimed at couples in which the woman is under 35 years of age and with good ovarian reserve, who has at least one patent tube, who does not have endometriosis and in which the man has a motile sperm count greater than 3 million after spermatic training.
AI is indicated for couples with a diagnosis of infertility of unknown origin, for women without a male partner, women with polycystic ovary syndrome, cervical factor or mild male factor.
